About the Role
As City Head – Dark Store Operations, you will own and lead end-to-end operational execution across your city. From identifying store locations and building SOPs to managing teams and ensuring lightning-fast fulfillment, you’ll be responsible for running a seamless and efficient delivery engine. You'll also work cross-functionally with product, tech, supply chain, and central ops teams to shape and execute Pikndel’s hyperlocal logistics strategy.
Manage network of Dark Stores across strategic zones in the city
Define and implement operational SOPs for inventory flow, picking, packaging, and dispatch
Own inventory health, replenishment, and in-store availability of key SKUs
Build and lead on-ground operations teams
Collaborate with tech/product teams to give input on tools, features, and workflow automation
Maintain high performance standards of warehousing
Ensure all stores operate under safety, cleanliness, and compliance standards
Take complete ownership of city ops P&L with a strong focus on cost-efficiency and customer satisfaction
Requirements
4–7 years of experience in warehouse ops, supply chain, or city-level logistics management
Experience in setting up operational infrastructure, SOPs, or last-mile networks
Strong understanding of inventory control, warehouse layout, and fulfillment systems
Data-driven decision maker with working knowledge of Excel and dashboard tools
Leadership experience in managing mid to large ground teams
Proven ability to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous, execution-focused environments
Experience working cross-functionally with tech and product teams
Passion for hyperlocal logistics and customer-centric delivery innovation
Bonus: Prior experience in quick commerce, logistics, dark store operations
